The first Fine City Blues Summer In The City 2019 weekend was a resounding success attracting a large audience of blues lovers to see and hear some of the most exciting blues artists in the country.
Beaux Gris Gris & The Apocalypse were a ball of sheer energy, even swapping the stage for the top of the bar at one point!
Split Whiskers delivered their usual blend of Chicago blues, rock and Americana with humour and enthusiasm.
Claude Bourbon gave a masterclass in acoustic guitar music, fusing many genres effortlessly. The atmosphere in the upstairs concert room at the Lous Marchesi was the ideal setting for an interesting and intimate performance.
The Roadhouse Sessions featuring Blues Situation, The Fine City Blues Band and Cold Sweat plus special appearances by Sophie Hammerton and Andy Walker from the Mojo Preachers and Mark Howes from the Dove and Boweevil Band were a truly joyous mix of bopping blues!
The whole event was the perfect launchpad for the Fine City Blues Club in its new home at the Louis Marchesi.
Plans for 2020 are already well under way!
