Dave Thomas with a guitar singing

Dave was the lead singer, song-writer and guitar player for the seminal 60s/70s progressive rock band Blonde On Blonde. The band toured extensively, sharing stages with The Pretty Things,

Jefferson Airplane, Hawkwind, Deep Purple, Genesis, Atomic Rooster, Marsha Hunt, Wishbone Ash, Barclay James Harvest, Edgar Broughton, Jon Hiseman’s Colosseum and The Steve Miller Band.

Blonde On Blonde appeared at both the Isle of Wight Festivals supporting Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix.  In 1971 they were supported by Fleetwood Mac!

For many years Dave has been involved with blues on both sides of the Atlantic but now, following recent re-releases of Blonde On Blonde’s albums on Esoteric (Cherry Red Records) he has decided to continue with his own original writing and re-enter the rock arena.  His first solo performance will be at the Cambridge Rock Festival 2019 on the acoustic stage.

In his solo performances, Dave mixes material from his blues roots, and his rock and folk experience Dave plans to release a couple of new albums this year, one of which is the result of a writing collaboration with Dave Greenslade of Greenslade and Jon Hiseman’s Colosseum.

People say the nicest things:
